In Memory

This is Mom & Dad and I think maybe their 45th anniversary. Dad was born in Mercer, Mo. His parents were Dave & Mary (Ellie) Stark. Dad's birthday was September 9th 1918. Mom was born in Princeton, Mo. Her parent were Joe D. & Mary Clark. Mom's birthday was February 28.1925. Dad and Mom had seven children Delores June, Wanda Lynn, Naeomi Grace, Jackie Dean, Joseph David, Priscilla, Harold Wayne. Dad passed away Feb. 24th 1999 and Mom passed away March 2nd 1999. Dad died from cancer he didn't believe in going to the Dr. Mom died 6 day's later from a broken heart. She couldn't make it without her partner. She had Alzheimer's and was a diabetic. It has been very hard on all of us kids but we look back on how they raised us and we have good memory's of them. We didn't always have what we wanted but, they made sure our need's were meet. Dad was a farmer and Mom took care of the kid's and did some cleaning house for people to help out. Mom could make almost anything she and Dad showed us how to make different food's cottage cheese, Butter, hominy, lye soap. Mom and us girl's made quilt's I still have two of them. We always knew if we had been good when Mom made fry bread if she sprinkled the top with powdered sugar .....lol. Dad raised hog's cattle, horses he broke horses to work as well as ride he used horses to plow the garden's he would never allow a tractor in his garden he thought the old ways were better. There was the right way's the wrong way's and of course Dad's way and we never questioned his way's even though to us kid's it was the hard way.
We raised what we needed to eat so they was hardly a time to go to town. We were raised in a Pentecostal home they believed in giving thanks' for everything because without God we wouldn't have anything always be thankful for what we have. They were proud people and always told us to stand up for what we believed in never hang our head's walk proud. When thing's would go wrong for us kid's we always went to Dad for answer's if you didn't want to here what he had to say don't ask. He made us look him in the eye's sometimes that wasn't always easy........lol. They always made room at their table for anyone or they always had an extra bed. You couldn't leave unless you ate a meal with them, and you could never just stop in for a few minutes because they both like to visit and they told stories of when they were kid's and everyone like to listen. Dad and Mom always told us if you don't have anything good to say about someone just keep quite because there is good in everyone. Sometimes you might half to take a harder look to find that good but it is there. They are both together again as they wanted it. We love you and miss you so much. Thanks for the thing's you taught us. We have your memories.
I Love You Both

I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God,
indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
The 1st fold of our flag is a symbol of life.
The 2nd fold is a symbol of our belief in eternal life.
The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing our
ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of our country to
attain peace throughout the world.
The 4th fold represents our weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting
in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for
His divine guidance.
The 5th fold is a tribute to our country, for in the words of Stephen
Decatur, "Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be
right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.
The 6th fold is for where our hearts lie. It is with our heart that We pledge
allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America, and the Republic for
which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice
for all.
The 7th fold is a tribute to our Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed
Forces that we protect our country and our flag against all her enemies,
whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.
The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the
shadow of death, that we might see the light of day.
The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through
their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men
and women who have made this country great has been molded.
The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and
daughters for the defense of our country since they were first born.
The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King
Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob.
The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the
Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost
reminding us of our nations motto, "In God We Trust."
After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance
of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General
George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John
Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed
Forces of the United States, preserving for us the rights, privileges and
freedoms we enjoy today.
My Dad said when he returned from World War ll
This was the most Beautiful Site that he could
have seen.
Very Proud to serve his Country.
